Close-to-production Prototyping and Manufacturing Trials

WAFIOS offers the very latest bending technology for manufacturing bent parts used in e-mobility components.
As well as machines for large-series and small-series projects, WAFIOS also provides these services:

• Manufacturing trials
• Sample part production of A samples for prototypes to close-to-production C samples

A theoretical feasibility study of the geometries is conducted in advance for all projects.

Machines for Sample Part Production

Machines that Create Different Geometries and Meet Various Requirements Are Available for Producing Sample Parts.

The FMU 40 E provides a unique machine concept for the production of hairpins, electromagnetic coils and stator connection assemblies. The patented hairpin tool system combines active rotary-draw bending with the agility of classic wire bending tools. This enables high-quality results to be achieved even with complex geometries. Insulation stripping, burr-optimized cutting and chamfering are possible thanks to modular stations.

On the BMF series it is possible to produce samples of busbars and profiled parts made of flat wire. The series combines maximum precision for the smallest bending radii and minimum bending distances, thanks to a specially designed bending tool. High degrees of freedom during the insulation stripping process enable flexible positioning of contact points.
